About

Mission

Welcome to Eterna Primavera!
Our mission is to reconnect with our Guatemalan/Mayan roots via workshops led by Mayan elders, speakers, craftsmen, etc. The group will also serve as a way to network with each other, lead events, and overall foster a sense of community with one another as we navigate our identities and lives.

Who this is for?

This group was created to bring together first and second gen Guatemalan Americans throughout Virginia. We hope to keep this a space mainly for Guatemalans but if you still would like to get involved please reach out!

How to Join

Going forward we plan on meeting at least once a month over zoom as well as having events with the group in person. We will also have opportunities to listen to speakers from Guatemala. Find out more by joining the discord or following our social media!

Get Involved!

If you'd like to get involved please join the discord server and follow our social media pages! If you have any questions or suggestions for us feel free to send an email or DM to our socials. Thanks so much for reading and we cannot wait to get started!

We receive a lot of support from AlterNatives in Richmond, VA. They've helped us with setting up connections, spreading the word, and planning events, so please support them as well!

A new series created in collaboration between Highland Support Project & Eterna Primavera!

Beginning every first Wednesday of the month we will be learning with the guidance of Mayan Priest and university professor Don Audelino Sac Coycoy. He will be calling in directly from Guatemala!

Attending this monthly virtual event will also grant you access to our monthly community events, including virtual Guatemalan cooking classes, live music events hosted at AlterNatives Boutique in Carytown, and other opportunities to connect with the Guatemalan community in a fun and social setting.

While this event will be held in Spanish, we will be able to translate! This event is open to anyone regardless of your Spanish skills!
